Archery Stabilizer: Key to a Great Shot!
Chuck Holloway
Many different weapons have been used since the beginning of time. Spears, slingshots and knives have all been used but it was only a matter of time before man created what we now know as a bow and arrow. Since the inception of the bow and arrow, archery has been one of the oldest competitive sports throughout the world. Archery was even one of the main sports played in the first Greek Olympics.
The bow and arrow that were created for sport and warfare have now become useful tools for the average man. With the growing technological advances in the sport, archers have improved their game and have become more proficient than ever before. One of the pieces of equipment that has been invented is the archery stabilizer which helps to improve aim and increase precision.
The archery stabilizer was invented to help archers improve their aim. The archery stabilizer helps the archers aim by improving balance which can be quite difficult when drawing back the string on a bow. The archery stabilizer is allowed in most formal competitions, but you will have to check the guidelines and regulations before you proceed to use one.
Another issue that most archers have to deal with is recoil which, in most cases, will cause the archer to miss the target. The archery stabilizer helps to reduce the force of the recoil by eliminating the vibration and shock resulting in a better shot.
The archery stabilizer is not only used by competitors in the sport, but also by hunters. Hunting with a bow and arrow gives the feeling of being one with nature as opposed to using a firearm. The bow and arrow hunter must keep a steady and silent draw as not to disrupt the game. The firing of an arrow will cause some noise which might scare away the game. This is where the archery stabilizer comes into play. The stabilizer will help to eliminate the noise associated with the arrow firing which will give the hunter the element of surprise upon firing.
